Affirmative Sentences

Types of sentences: The sentences can be classified according to the function they are performing.

Affirmative or Affirmative Declarative Sentences: The statements that convey ideas, thoughts, facts and opinions are refered to Affirmative or Affirmative Declarative.They are positive sentences and do not contain no, not, do not etc.

Examples:

  • Rohan is a very obedient student.
  • This event was dedicated to the soldiers.
  • I think it will go for a movie tomorrrow.
  • We should donate blood whenever we can.
  • Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
  • There will be a grammar test tomorrow.
